Meet the 2025 Kia Niro Hybrid: Eco-Friendly Driving
Hybrid Performance
The 2025 Niro Hybrid is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.6L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. This combo makes a total of 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is standard, along with front-wheel drive.
The Niro Hybrid is rated at 53 mpg combined (53 city/ 54 highway) in the LX, EX, and SX. The EX Touring and SX Touring have a slightly lower highway rating of 45 mpg, which brings the average down to 49 mpg. Both Touring models come with larger 18-inch wheels instead of the standard 16-inch alloys in other trims. This is why they lose some fuel efficiency.

An 8-inch touchscreen display comes as standard. You can integrate your smartphone using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and stream content. This feature also lets you send texts, make calls, and even get map directions directly on the display.
All the other trims get a larger 10.25-inch display with built-in navigation. A six-speaker stereo system is standard, and there’s an optional Harman Kardon system with eight speakers.
Interior Comfort
The Niro Hybrid is spacious on both rows and offers a maximum cargo volume of 63.7 cubic feet with the rear seats down. The base model has a charcoal interior with cloth seats. Combination cloth and SynTex seats are available in higher trims. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, with optional rear AC vents.
There are tons of available comfort features, such as heated and ventilated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and a heated steering wheel. LED interior lighting is optional, and a sunroof is available on all trims except the LX and EX.
Convenience Features
The new Niro is packed with standard and optional convenience features. Remote keyless entry is standard, while the available Kia Smart Key allows you to remotely lock and unlock the car and start or stop the engine. All models, except the base LX, also get push-button ignition.
Driver Assistance Technology
Every model comes with Kia Drive Wise, which enhances safety on the road. It has these standard features:
- Forward collision avoidance
