The 2025 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid is a three-row SUV that will elevate your daily commutes, road trips, and family adventures. With a reliable and efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Sorento PHEV keeps fuel worries off your mind. Let’s take a closer look at its features.
Experience Efficiency and Versatility with the 2025 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid

Eco-Friendly Performance
The Sorento PHEV comes with a versatile powertrain that combines a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine with a full hybrid system. It pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and makes a combined 261 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. A standard AWD system lets you take on off-road trails and muddy or slippery roads with confidence.
With 31 miles of all-electric driving, you can drop off the kids at school or run errands in town without using gas. Once the battery is depleted, the standard hybrid system takes over, returning 33 miles per gallon. You can charge your battery at home or on the go at nearby public charging stations.
Versatile Seating and Storage
The Sorento PHEV’s cabin is designed for large families. It features three rows of spacious seating, with 41.4 inches of front legroom, 40.3 inches in the second row, and 29.6 inches in the third row. The second-row Captain’s chairs slide forward with the touch of a button, giving you easy access to the third-row seats.
This Sorento offers a standard 12.6 cubic-foot trunk for your groceries and luggage. The third-row seats can be folded down to expand the cargo volume to 45 cubic feet. If you need to haul bulky equipment, you can also stow the second-row seats to access 75.5 cubic feet. The Sorento PHEV also comes with roof rails, so you can carry bikes, camping gear, or even a kayak.
Premium Comfort and Convenience Features
The cabin keeps everyone comfortable with a dual-zone automatic climate control system and standard rear AC vents. The driver and front passenger get heated, power-adjustable seats, with optional ventilation in the SX Prestige trim. Leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated second-row seats are available as well. There are USB ports on all rows and a wireless charging pad on the front center console.
Smart Technology
Both trims feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display at the center of the dash. It comes with built-in navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The SX Prestige adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. It also replaces the base six-speaker stereo with a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
Advanced Driver-Assistance Features
Packed with a suite of driver-assistance features, the Sorento PHEV ensures peace of mind on every journey. It comes standard with a forward collision prevention system, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and smart cruise control. Front and rear parking sensors are standard as well.
