It's a good idea to budget for a new set of tires a few months before you need to make a purchase. The only way to do this is by periodically paying attention to the condition of your tires. You should be able to notice when the tread is wearing low or there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Tire tread depth should be equal on all four of your tires. If one tire is wearing down at a higher rate than the others, you could have a bigger problem going on that needs to be taken care of. Make sure that you purchase a new tire when everything has been repaired.

Watch out for odd vibrations that are coming from your wheels. You may feel this as you're driving along at fast or slow rates of speed.
